(click on image for more information)On Friday, August 8, 2008 in Beijing, China, the 2008 Summer Olympiad opened in the newly built Bird-Nest Stadium. Broadcasters expect a worldwide audience of 4 billion viewers of the 29th Olympic Games. China spent $41 billion (US dollars) in preparation for the hosting of the Olympiad.
